Get to grips with the Italian traffic on your way to the hotel. After check-in, maybe try your first "gelato" or ice-cream before meeting your Tour Director later this afternoon for a Welcome Drink.
Hotel: Aran Mantegna (3 nights) | | Day 3 | Rome | Rome sightseeing : On our guided tour we visit the Vatican Museums and are amazed by Michelangelo's ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, before visiting inside the vast St. Peter's Basilica. Later we overlook the Roman Forum and visit the Colosseum where the gladiators fought to the death! This evening we learn how to make real Italian pizza and get to eat it too! (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

(Buffet breakfast) | | Day 5 | Florence | Rome - Assisi - Florence (3 nights) : First to Assisi where we enjoy a guided visit of the town dedicated to St. Francis , patron saint of birds and animals. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 7 | Florence | Florence - Excursion to Pisa : Make sure your camera and phone are charged today as we get to see the incredible leaning Tower of Pisa in the cleverly named Square of the Miracles! Later, we cross the wide River Po en route to Venice, the magical city originally constructed on wooden piles in the middle of the lagoon. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Hotel: Novotel Venezia Mestre (3 nights) | | Day 9 | Venice | Venice - Canal Cruise & Orientation : Our private cruise takes us to St. Mark's Square where we see the Bridge of Sighs, where condemned prisoners caught their last glimpse of the city , the Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basilica and the Campanile. We watch how glass is blown and then have the chance to learn about the Venetian tradition of Carnival masks and paint and decorate one of our own! Later maybe there is time to take a ride on a gondola, propelled by the skillful gondolier - great way to see all the little canals and really ancient buildings. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 10 | Venice | Secrect Venice walking tour & visit to the market : We cruise along the Grand Canal to Rialto Bridge where our tour begins with a visit to the colourful fish market, before exploring many hidden parts of the city. Tonight we enjoy a Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant. (Buffet breakfast / Farewell Dinner) | | Day 11 | Return USA | Venice - USA : Ciao Italia! Time to start on our way home with fantastic memories of our Italian vacation as we say "arrivederci" to our Tour Director. (Buffet breakfast) |
